I have taken a course on New Masters Academy from Steven Huston and I liked the way he described drawing.

What is it about?
This book contains all the expected introductions to learn about such as shape, form, lights and more.

What makes it unique?
Steve has his own way of putting shapes together and has a very emotional relationship to drawing. He also wants you as a reader to maintain your commitment to art.

Recommendation
While working through the book you will see some very beautiful lines and solid foundations. There is an ease to drawing that does not complicate but have depth in the way of composing the figure.
